The Bucharest Court has given the case to Chefs Sorin Bontea, Florin Dumitrescu and Cătălin Scărlătescu in the process initiated against Antena Group, writes paginademedia.ro, who presented the amounts paid by Antena 1 to the three for the last season in which the show “Chefi la knives” were juries.
The Bucharest Court forced Antena 1 to pay all the outstanding amounts, plus penalties and costs. The three chefs won the April process, but the motivation was recently published.
They gave Antena 1 in the beginning of 2024, because the television station refused to pay them for season 12, the last in which the three appeared at “Chefi la knives” and which was broadcast between September and October 2023.
Until the court's decision, the antenna paid the amounts due, plus penalties for six months, but when paying the debts to Chefi it mentioned that it was “undue amounts”. Thus, the trial continued, and the judges established that the chefs were worth the money.
According to the decision, Florin Dumitrescu received a remuneration of 114,000 lei (23,000 euros), to which are added delay penalties of 6,423.25 lei.
Cătălin Scărlătescu received a remuneration of 344,000 lei (70,000 euros), plus late penalties of 19,269.64 lei.
Sorin Bontea received a remuneration of 344,000 lei (70,000 euros), plus late penalties of 19,269.64 lei.
Antena 1 must also pay the following costs: 5,000 euros (26,000 lei) for Sorin Bontea, 4,000 euros (21,000 lei) for Florin Dumitrescu and 5,000 euros (26,000 lei) for Cătălin Scărlătescu.
The decision is not final and can be appealed within 30 days of communication. So far the antenna has not challenged the decision.
It is worth mentioning that Antena TV Group also opened trials against the three chefs.
