On this day, Fedor Andreevich Fetisov, a journalist, honorary citizen of the city of Birobidzhan was born.
Fyodor Andreevich was born on April 5, 1927 in the village of Zolotaya Polyana Terney district of Primorsky Territory.

In August-September 1945, he participated in the defeat of the Kwantun Japanese army and the liberation of Manchuria. There, in the Navy, Fetisov wrote the first notes to the military newspaper. This predetermined his future fate.
After the surrender of Japan, foreman Fetisov served in the army until 1951.
In 1951, having quitting in the reserve, he sets up to work with a correspondent in the district newspaper “Leninets” (12+) in the village. The rejection of the Khabarovsk Territory. The young journalist was noticed and transferred in 1953 by the head of the agricultural department to the district newspaper “Communist” (12+) of the Bikinsky district. Having quit from the district newspaper, he decides to move to Birobidzhan.

In 1955, he was admitted to the state of the regional newspaper “Birobidzhanskaya Star” (12+). Then, for several years in the direction of governing bodies he worked in the district newspaper Lenin Banner (12+) (p. Leninskoye) and from 1961 to 1965. In the newspaper “Iskra Hingan” (12+) (Obluchye), helping the professional formation of editorial groups.
In 1965 he returned to the Birobidzhan Star and headed the department of agriculture.
In 1967, F. Fetisov became a member of the Union of Journalists of Russia.
Journalist F. A. Fetisov made deep vivid publications on various problems of the development of the region’s economy. The answers to his critical correspondence with information about the measures taken came from the All -Union and Republican ministries. According to the results of his journalistic investigations, publications were made by decisions of the regional committee of the CPSU EAO with a positive solution to the issues posed.
He made a noticeable contribution to the development of the gardening movement in Birobidzhan. He led the club of gardeners and gardeners “Demeter” at the regional library.
At 80, he went on a well -deserved rest.
F. A. Fetisov always took an active life position. He was a member of the Commission under the Government of the EAO for pardon, participated in the work of the regional administrative commission in the city of Birobidzhan, the Cultural Heritage Commission of the city hall, etc.
F. A. Fetisov was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the II degree and many anniversary medals.
By the decision of the City Duma dated 05.05.2010 No. 296, Fetisov Fedor Andreevich was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of the city of Birobidzhan”.
Fedor Andreevich Fetisov passed away on January 4, 2020, was buried in the city of Birobidzhan.
