Bucharest was “struck” by a Code Orange of snow on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the capital of Romania was covered in slush reaching layers of up to 50 centimeters.

Gazeta Sporturilor's reporter went through Bucharest on Wednesday morning and visited several stadiums in the capital, where he captured shots reminiscent of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics.

There was no work at the Arcul de Triumf stadium on Wednesday morning. The sidewalks around the arena were not cleared and people were walking on the road.

Instead, at the Rapid Stadium, all the access ways were cleaned, including those behind the stadium.

Photosynthesis devices were installed in the stadium so as not to damage the lawn due to the lack of sun. Instead, the lawn was not cleared of snow because Rapid will play the next home match at the National Arena, where they will receive a visit from rival Dinamo.

Thus, it was not used to clean the lawn in Giulești because the grass would have been damaged if machinery had been used.

The citizens of Bucharest chose to leave their cars at home, given the difficulty of traffic due to weather conditions. The people, few in number, had to walk among the cars, considering the fact that it is not possible to drive on many sidewalks.

Snow removal equipment intervened to clear tram line 41 around 12:00 in the afternoon. The main arteries of the Capital were cleared to some extent, but the secondary ones and the alleys were full of snow, and some were even closed.

Also, due to the blizzard, several trees in Bucharest fell on cars.
