The Krasnoyarsk GAI summed up the results of the operational and preventive event on April 3 to prevent accidental with the participation of pedestrians.
In total, more than 120 road police officers and 40 representatives of voluntary folk squads were involved in the raid. They were on duty at the most lively pedestrian crossings and areas where people were most often shot down. The day of the week and time was also chosen on the basis of accident rate.
“During the raid, the police conducted more than 1000 preventive conversations with road users and stopped almost 150 traffic violations with pedestrians and motorists. With everyone, they carried out explanatory work on the topic of what consequences can lead to carelessness on the road, ”the traffic police said.
It should be noted that since the beginning of the year in Krasnoyarsk, 93 accidents involving pedestrians have already occurred, as a result of 6 people died, 89 were injured.
