For the moment, the death of the performance athlete is not considered to be a suspicious one. The tragic news came just a few months away after Hatton announced his return to the ring, in a match against the fighter from the United Arab Emirates, Eisa Al Dah, scheduled on December 2, in Dubai.

Over time, he spoke about his addiction to forbidden substances, as well as the mental problems he faces.

Ricky Hatton had a remarkable career in the professional boxing. From 1997 to 2007, his first 43 matches all ended with victories. The first defeat came to the legendary Floyd Mayweather, and later he was defeated by another big name of the ring, Manny Pacquiao.

Reactions in the world of boxing: “I can't believe he died so young”

Tyson Fury, British champion, was shocked by Ricky Hatton's death: “Rest in peace! It will be a single Ricky Hatton. I can't believe he died so young! ”.

Amir Khan, another legend of the British box, sent a message on social networks.

“Today I lost not only one of the biggest boxers of the United Kingdom, but also a friend, a mentor, a warrior, Ricky Hatton.

As fighters, we tell ourselves that we are strong – we train, sweat, we receive blows, we rise. But sometimes, the hardest struggle takes place in silence, in mind. Mental health is not a weakness. Is part of being a man. And we need to talk about it. We have to reach out. We need to support each other.

“You will always have your place in the ring!”

Ricky, thank you for everything. For your struggles, your moments of glory, your courage. Thank you for pushing us, you showed us what is possible.

To all those who read this: If you suffer or fight you are not alone. Talk. Reach the hand. Because we need more light, more compassion, more understanding.

Rest well, Ricky. You will always have your place in the ring of our memories ”Khan said on Twitter.
