The Ministry of Trade of China has initiated an investigation into American regulations regarding the Chinese integrated circuit sector – Reuters said on Saturday. On Sunday, Spanish representatives of the PRC and the USA about trade are to talk in Spain.

In its announcement, the Chinese ministry pointed out that in recent years the US has imposed regulations on the Chinese sector of integrated circuits.
According to Chinese authorities, these activities are “patronist” and aimed at limiting and even blocking the development of advanced technologies. The Chinese side emphasized that this applies primarily to chips and artificial intelligence.
The Ministry of Trade also announced the initiation of anti -dumping investigation regarding the import of some analogue systems from the USA. In the commentary, a representative of the Ministry of Trade, which was not mentioned by the name, said that the US “interprets the concept of national security widely, abuse export control (…) for malicious blocking and suppression of Chinese industry” technological industry, which – in Beijing – is a serious violation of the principles of the World Trade Organization and is damaged by justified laws and interests of Chinese enterprises. “
On Friday, the American authorities added 32 entities, including 23 from China, to the list of entities covered by the limitations of the Ministry of Trade.
When asked about these activities, the spokesman for the Ministry of Trade Ministry accused the US that “under the pretext of protecting international order and national security, the United States is involved in unilateral intimidation activities, putting their own interests over the rights of other countries to development”, which China “definitely opposes”.
In the context of the next round of China's conversations planned for Sunday, the US spokesman asked the rhetorical question: “What do the United States want to achieve by imposing sanctions on Chinese enterprises at this moment?”
After which he stated: “China calls the United States to immediately correct the wrong approach and stop unjustified limiting these enterprises. They will take the necessary means to definitely protect the justified rights and interests of Chinese business,” reads the publication on the website of the HL trade ministry.
