Stop Cafe in a new setting. Orlen is preparing to open a new store in Poland

– We test many solutions. One of them is autonomous stores – Marek Balawejder, a member of the Management Board for Retail Sales in Orlen, revealed in an interview with the portal. Such a facility has recently been operating in Berlin.
His information shows that the currently tested solution can replace service permanently or only during less traffic hours, e.g. at night. – In Poland, the tested formula will be different and in the right time we will be able to say a little more about it – added Marek Balawajder.

When will the Autonomous Orlen stores appear in Poland? The first test solution in our country is expected to appear at the beginning of next year. Unofficially it is said that the store is to operate under the name STOP CAFE.
Autonomous solutions are to support the operation of the station at night when maintaining full service is expensive. – They also work in locations with less potential, where the self -service model is more effective. We test various scenarios and we will adapt them to the specifics of the location – announces a member of the board of Orlen.
The Płock concern manages the largest gas station network in Poland. At the end of August 2025, he had 1956 facilities on the Vistula (+2 compared to data at the end of July, +25 y/y); The BP group with 576 stations came second (without changes in M/M, +3 y/y), and on the third – Moya with 528 facilities (+4 m/m, +45 r/r) – according to data collected by ISBnews.
However, Orlen tries to go beyond the tracyal gas station network. STOP CAFE stores have been operating in the Czech Republic for several years, which operate regardless of a gas station, it is a combination of a store and a cafe, most often they are located at gas stations: Stop Café operates in 357 out of 441 ORLEN gas stations (80 percent of the Czech network of the Polish company).
Orlen is also the largest fuel network in the Czech Republic. Orlen points in traffic also operate in Poland, which operate as independent shops or kiosks. However – contrary to the original plans to open 900 such points in five years – there are only several dozen of them.
