Europe is in the face of four world conflicts and loses all

Europe is in the face of four serious conflicts in the world, including Russia's aggression to Ukraine and the trading war from the USA, and they all lose – commented on Saturday the Spanish daily “El Pais”.

In addition to these two conflicts, the newspaper also mentioned Israel's war with Hamas, and above all the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, in which Europe “loses honor”, and industrial confrontation with China.

According to “El Pais”, the solution for “failure suffered on all fronts” is greater EU integration, including completing the construction of a common market, promoting joint investments and better coordination in the defense sector.

In Saturday's editorial commentary, the daily also wrote about the “unilateral collapse of the global trade model” by the USA. According to the newspaper, it causes “extensive damage that the United States” and American consumers will feel the most.

“Customs are a personal obsession (US President Donald) and the cornerstone of his economic policy: as long as he will be in the White House, and perhaps longer, global trade will not return to the previous state,” said “El Pais”.

In the belief of Gazeta, the last decisions of Washington also confirm that the US “is not a reliable partner”, which should push Europe to “take appropriate actions”.
