Art Safari opens an exhibition-manifest of contemporary art in Promenada Mall, from September 15: “Young Blood. The new wave of contemporary artists”

Art Safari and Promenada Mall announces the second contemporary art exhibition made in collaboration: “Young Blood. The new wave of contemporary artists”, curated by artist Alexandru Rădvan. The exhibition can be visited free of charge between September 15 and October 10, 2025, at Promenada Mall.

Extension of Young Blood-an exhibition project Art Safari that reached the 5th edition, the exhibition organized at Promenada Mall aims to bring closer to the general public, in the daily contexts, energy, courage and creativity of the young generation of artists.

“What do these young people want with their art?”

“Young Blood. The new wave of contemporary artists” is an exhibition-manifest who aims to dismantle the idea that “no artists are born anymore.” The curator Alexandru Rădvan and his selection of works fully contradict this perception, showing that the new generations of artists are numerous, talented and full of stories that are worth looking and listened to.

“- There is no more, sir, artists as they once were! A Michelangelo is no longer born …

They are born. They are always born and there are many, more and more, they are talented, they want to tell each one. There are over a thousand young artists who have things to share, and among them, at least one hundred are special, and ten – absolutely remarkable. But … we are not willing to listen and especially to try to understand what these young people want with their art ”, declares Alexandru Rădvan, the curator of the exhibition.

Thestoryalist

The artists present in the exhibition are Alina Dârțu, Andra Georgescu, Bianca Măldărescu, Brândușa Mărăscu, Maria Cosmaciuc, Mihai Voinescu, Paula Nănău and Ana Popa.

Art at the crossroads

The exhibition also speaks of the force of art of surviving and giving hope in any context – whether it is times of war and crises or uncertainty.

“Now, art? Don't you see, Bre, that the war begins, that the plague comes, that the asteroid strikes us, now we burn us with art? The clear answer is: yes, bre, exactly now is the moment. These, that it might be nice ”, It is the exhortation of the curator Alexandru Rădvan.

Graduate of the University of Arts Bucharest, the Faculty of Painting, the class of Prof. Florin Mitroi, and a lecturer at the University Painting Department, with a doctorate in the “image science” conferred by the University of Bucharest, the artist has exhibited in the country and abroad, since the late 1998. His works are found in important public and private collections in Romania, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Israel, France, Italy, Greece and the USA.

Also, art and beautiful lovers are invited to visit the exhibition “Young Blood 5.0-Hello, Math!”, At Art Safari, at the Dacia-Romania Palace, on Lipscani Street, no. 18-20, between September 5 and December 14.

Access and program

Access to the exhibition hosted by Promenada Mall is free, and the works can be admired daily between 12:00 and 20:00, in the specially arranged space at level 1, near the Murmur store. The opening of the exhibition will take place on Tuesday, September 16, from 7:00 pm.

The exhibition is an invitation to rethink the relationship between the past and present in art, but also to give the public's chance to discover the beauty and creative force of the present through the eyes of young artists.
