“Krak” today, September 6, at 12:50 a.m. completed the flushing of the equipment and launched the Gremyachy Log water intake.
Four days were required to bring the technological equipment of the filter-treatment station after the abnormal contamination of the Yenisei in working condition. After prolonged rain, mud flows from small rivers Karaulol, a pioneer river and other left -bank tributaries upstream from Krasnoyarsk to Divnogorsk.

During the period of stopping the Gremyachy Log, “Krak” temporarily distributed its load between three water intake structures: the islands of Tatyshev, the islands of the Cossack and the islands of Posadnaya.
On September 2-4, more than 400 shutters of locking reinforcement were made on the water supply networks of the left bank to deploy water flow from the Soviet and central regions to Oktyabrsky and Railway.
We thank all the inhabitants of the Left Bank for understanding this emergency in the city drinking water supply system, ”said Oleg Goncherov, general director of Krak. – During these few days, huge work has been done both to clean the equipment of lighting river water at the water intake, and to reduce the turbidity of the Yenisei by increasing water discharge from the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station. In the next day, we will again have a tap network of four hundred switches to return to a constant drinking water supply scheme. In this connection, we do not exclude that at the time of opening the cover of the valves, tap water will not be temporarily as transparent as the Krasnoyarsk residents are used to. But we assure that all the water in the city drinking water supply system of Krasnoyarsk from all water intake structures meets safety requirements for all indicators, including its organoleptic properties of color and drooping.
Recall that on September 2, at the peak of the Yenisei pollution by mudflows with small rivers, the turbidity of river water was 107 EMFs with a month traditional for September 2 EMFs.
According to sanitary standards, drinking water should have a turbidity indicator of not more than 2.6 EMFs.
