New rates for technical research from 2025.

As the ministry pointed out, the change in the amount of fees was carried out after over 20 years and aims to make the costs of the vehicle control station to make the costs of operation, which until now have been one of the lowest in Europe. The costs of remuneration of diagnosticians, maintenance of real estate and media, the current operation of devices along with their legalization, inspections and repairs were taken into account.
“The most important goal that we set for ourselves when changing this regulation was to maintain a balance between the interests of entrepreneurs and the interests of Polish drivers. That is why an analysis of the costs of functioning of the vehicle control station was carried out, in particular the costs of remuneration of diagnosticians, real estate, media and ongoing operation of devices along with their legalization, inspections and repairs,” said Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Stanisław Bukowiec.
Deputy Minister Bukowiec emphasized that the amendment was prepared to maintain a balance between the interests of entrepreneurs running vehicle control stations and drivers. The new rates are based on the price of goods and services from 2020, which allows you to reflect the real costs of conducting diagnostic activities.
As the ministry emphasized, the most important change concerns passenger cars – the technical examination fee will increase by PLN 51 and amount to PLN 149. Higher rates were also introduced for other vehicles: the rate for motorcycles and agricultural tractors will increase to PLN 94, mopeds to PLN 76, trucks and special cars, tractors with DMC 3.5-16 t to PLN 234, above PLN 16 to PLN 269, the rate for truck and special trailers up to 3.5 t specialized PLN 96) – for a passenger car a total of PLN 245.
Deputy Minister Bukowiec announced a increase in the rates for technical tests of vehicles a month ago at a special press conference. The president of the Polish Chamber of Vehicle Control Station Jolanta Source, who was present at the time, estimated that the realization of fees for technical tests will improve their quality and is an opportunity for modernization and purchase of modern diagnostic devices. – We also care about raising the prestige of the profession of diagnostician and encouraging young people to choose this career path, because we do not have a generational change in this profession at the moment – she said.
