The Global Sumud Flotilla turns to the port of Barcelona

The goal of the flotilla is to provide humanitarian aid and to draw attention to the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, where, according to the Ministry of Health, Gaza, since the beginning of the war, 340 people died from malnutrition, including 124 children. According to UNICEF, in the Gaza Zone is starving over half a million people, which is the result of direct activities of the Israeli government. It is worth noting that this is not the first attempt to break the sea blockade this year. Earlier missions – “Madleen” or “Handala”, from June and July, were detained by the Israeli army, and their charges were confiscated. Greta Thunberg, participating in one of them, was deported in June from Israel. As in an interview with the Associated Press, the activist emphasized, “Israel constantly violates international law, unlawfully capturing boats in international waters and preventing the provision of humanitarian aid.”
Israel has repeatedly declared that he would not allow the flotilla to enter the Gaza Strip. The experiences of previous convoys indicate that this time organs can try to capture them.
