The diary reports that according to OC & C strategy consultants experts, parents have fewer children, but spend more and more on them. “The data collected by the company shows that In 2024, the average expenditure per child amounted to EUR 540 a year. By 2029, the amount will increase to over EUR 680” – we read.

“PB” points out that it is still less than in the West – British parents allocated up to EUR 1280 for clothes and toys last year, Italian EUR 950, and Spanish EUR 830. “In the Central European region Poland, however, is higher than Hungary – 470 EUR, Czech Republic – 440 or Romania – 350 ” – says the newspaper.

What parents buy most often

According to “PB”, the most dynamically growing category are Premium toys and computer games. “The LEGO or Hot Wheels segment is developing twice as faster than the market as a whole. They gain large retail chains-in 2019-24 the sale of the largest players in the toy and game segment grew by an average of 12 percent a year, while the entire market at 7-8”-notes “PB”.
