The President of the USR, Dominic Fritz, states that the coalition partners have agreed that the positions in the central and local administration should be reduced, but it has not been agreed exactly on how this will have to be done, writes News.ro. Also, the total percentage of reducing the positions was not decided, given that there will be 15-20% occupied positions, which could be problematic for some mayors.
The USR leader was asked on Sunday night, at Digi 24, about the administration reform and the percentage of positions that will be reduced, Dominic Fritz responding: “Let's start with the good news, with the consensus. All the coalition partners agree to reduce the number of budgets, both in the local administration and in the central administration. that there are also very different situations ”.
“We must have quality public services”
According to him, there are mayors who are oversized, but also the mayors who are under -dimensional.
“We have to be careful that, at the end, we have quality public services. I personally would go with a strong variant, even if in this Timisoara it would mean a reduction of positions. I even started, I now put in transparency a 10% discount of the positions actually occupied and we are ready to go further,” the USA said.
He said, however, that, “for some mayors, many discounts from one day to another can create functional problems and that is why it is normal to be discussed, it must be analyzed because too many has to ruin.”
“We support the prime minister in this cure of weakening of the administration”
“But, once again, we support it without just and perhaps the Romanian prime minister in this struggle of reduction, of weight loss, somehow, of the local and central administration,” said Fritz.
Asked if he would agree with a 45% discount on stations, Fritz said: “Yes. I think about 40% would be reasonable.”
“However, we are talking about vacancies, that is not only actually occupied, but, once again, if we talk about an average … 15-20% of actually occupied positions, this average means that the mayors who will be affected more and fixed there must analyze what this means for the quality of public services,” he explained.
The reform of the administration should have been part of the second package of measures for which the Government will take responsibility on Monday, but did not reach a consensus on the coalition, so the project was postponed.
The cuts from the local administration, postponed. Impas in coalition on one of the most important measures in package 2, the one related to cutting tens of thousands of posts
