The decision is “for the benefit of Americans whose rights were probably violated,” reports the Boston Federal Judge who decided to suspend a controversial order signed by Trump even on his first day of mandate, according to AFP.
This is the decree signed by the US president on January 20, ordering his administration to “recognize” the existence of only “two sexes” defined at birth. “Starting today, the official policy of the United States government will be that there are only two sexes, male and female,” announced the head of the US state.
An American judge has ordered the Trump administration to resume the issuance of passports with the genre “X” or sex other than birth in the case of transgender people or people who identify as crazy.
In April, the Boston magistrate suspended this change for the benefit of six plaintiffs and established the discriminatory probation of the decree and the policy of issuing passports that arise from it.
On Tuesday, on June 17, she extended this suspension to all trans and non -binning persons affecting politics. Thus, it orders the state department to resume the issuance of these passports until the judgment on the merits or until a decision of a court or a higher jurisdiction.
“The conservative measure ordered by this court is defined strictly only for the benefit of Americans whose rights have probably been violated by the policy of issuing passports and who, without it, would probably suffer an irreparable damage,” the judge said.
The first American passport with the genus “X” was released in October 2021 by the State Department, which stated that this case “X” is reserved “to non -binary, intersex” and wider people who are not recognized in the gender criteria until then.
