Lavinia Vlad, the patient with severe burns who contracted an extremely dangerous fungus while she was admitted to the “Floreasca” Center, is still in a hospital in Belgium, and her sister revealed Thursday that the Ministry of Health “will take over the costs of treatment”.

“In the last days I have heard often the medical staff of the Belgian hospital using the word miracle, when I describe the medical situation of Lavinia. Our hope, which I have never given up, has now become greater and stronger than fear. You are thousands, thousands of people who have supported us with donations, distribution Facebook post.

She said the Ministry of Health will support Lavinia.

“A few hours ago I was informed that the Ministry of Health joins us in the fight for Lavinia's life and future. The ministry will support Lavinia and take over the costs of its treatment. We will keep you up to date,” added Lavinia's sister.

Alina Alexandru thanked the Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, including “because he checked the situation at Floreasca Hospital and did not leave intimidated, although we know that some truths are not easy to reveal.”

“Our family can look with more hope and confidence towards the future of Lavinia. Today Lavinia has cried and laughed at the same time. Today we have cried both.

On August 12, at the end of a control ordered after the case of Lavinia, the Minister of Health announced that the burning section of the Floreasca Emergency Hospital in Bucharest will lose its center of Arşi. “The results are criminal in nature and I will notify the Prosecutor's Office,” says Alexandru Rogobete, after verifying how the center was authorized, in 2022, in the mandate of former minister Alexandru Rafila.
