Rome expressed his readiness to prepare the summit, in which the leaders of the US, Russia and Ukraine would take part. Italian deputy prime minister and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, emphasized on Saturday the openness of the country to organize a meeting that could accelerate the ending of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Giorgia Meloni reminded that Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty assumes NATO's joint response to an armed attack on any of the allies. The prime minister also added that a potential peace agreement remains a challenge, but it is becoming more and more real, despite the deadlock for several months on the front.
