New details are emerging about the case of the nurse found dead in the house. The divorce had stressed her out and she was afraid she would lose custody of the child
New information comes to light in the case of the nurse from Târgu Jiu, found breathless in her own home, even by her father. Andreea Georgiana Sîrbu, 31 years old, was involved in a lawsuit with her ex-husband for the alimony of her 7-year-old daughter, notes bzi.

According to the authorities, the young woman's father alerted the police by calling 112, and SMURD crews and police officers intervened on the scene. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, the nurse's life could not be saved. The body was transported to the Gorj Forensic Medicine Service to carry out the necropsy and establish the exact cause of death.
“On April 6, 2026, at around 11:40 a.m., police officers from the Târgu Jiu Municipality Police were notified by a man about the fact that he found his daughter dead at home. The public safety patrol went to the scene, together with an ambulance crew, the latter performing resuscitation maneuvers, but unfortunately the woman was pronounced dead”IPJ Gorj representatives sent, according to the source.
The young woman was involved in a lawsuit with her ex-husband for her daughter's alimony. The deadline was March 24, but the court postponed the case until September. Those close to them say that this situation had stressed her and made her fear that she might lose custody of the child.
The nurse's friends reacted with deep emotion, posting messages on social networks. One of my friends sent an emotional message:
“Today, heaven received another angel… But for me, heaven took a part of my soul. You were more than a friend – you were peace, support and light in the hardest times. A warm and pure soul who knew how to give without asking for anything in return, who took care of me and made me feel beautiful, not only on the outside, but also on the inside. You remain alive in every memory, in every smile you gave me gifted. And even if it hurts today, I know that you have become the brightest star up there. Go smoothly, dear soul… I will never forget you, Andreea Georgiana Sîrbu!” wrote one of the female friends.
Andreea will be buried on Wednesday, April 8, at 12:00. Until then, those who want to say goodbye can go to the parental home in Jupânești commune.
