As a result of massive Russian attacks using missiles and drones, Odessa, with a population of over 1 million people in southern Ukraine, was deprived of electricity, heat and water supplies; at least two people are injured, local authorities and media reported on Saturday morning.

“The Odessa Oblast is experiencing one of the most massive attacks from the enemy. During the night, civilian facilities and energy and industrial infrastructure were damaged. (…) According to preliminary data, two people were injured,” said Oleh Kiper, head of the Odessa oblast administration.
The local Dumska portal reported that Odessa was attacked using strike drones and missiles. “Explosions rang out in various districts of the city. (…) Light, water and heat disappeared practically in the entire city,” the website reported.
After the night attacks by the Russians, parts of the Mykolaiv Oblast and the city of Mykolaiv, also in southern Ukraine, remain without electricity. Explosions were also heard in the city of Dnieper, in the central-eastern part of the country, and in Kryvyi Rih, in the center of the country, the authorities said.
Saturday is the 1,389th day of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.
