Marius Nistor, the president of the FSE Spiru Haret, argues that the protests will continue and will increase after the school begins, if the government implements the package of austerity measures, which also affect the teachers.

On the first day of school, on September 8, over 30,000 union members will participate in the national protest rally in Bucharest, scheduled for September 8th.

“I asked the prime minister to do an analysis on the decisions taken, warning him that it will be a complicated year. When the government representatives do not want to hear these messages, it is our duty to continue the protests. On September 8, the school will not start. Education cannot be treated from an accounting point of view.”Marius Nistor said.

Education trade unionists resumed, on Monday morning, the protests at the headquarters of the Ministry of Education and Research, against the provisions of the Bolojan law. It is the ninth day of protests.

All teachers are urged by the Federation of Free Trade Unions not to return to school if they are called from rest leave and not to participate in any action of the Ministry of Education and of the School Inspectorates, related to the application and implementation of the measures in the Bolojan Law, according to an address of FSLI.ro.
