Two large families from Krasnoyarsk were awarded the highest awards for decent raising children. The corresponding decree on the award by the Order of the Parental Glory of the Tonk spouses and the medal of the Order of Parental Glory Smal was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Julia and Ivan Monky have eight children – three daughters and five sons. The family moved to Krasnoyarsk four years ago from Tomsk in connection with the election of Ivan Sergeyevich by the chairman of the Krasnoyarsk Old Believer community and the appointment of a priest of the Old Believer Church. Julia Gennadievna is engaged in raising children and leads the Sunday school at the temple.
Spouses have an active civic position, bring up in children respect for the heroic past of their homeland, for family values, foundations and traditions. At the public venues of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Ivan and Julia Merdas organize exhibitions dedicated to spiritual and family values, and also hold annual congresses of the Old Believer youth of Siberia.
Irina and Ilya Smal have two daughters and two sons. The wife adopted two older children. Ilya Viktorovich works as a master for servicing pumping stations in a resource -supplying company. Until recently, Irina Aleksandrovna was an employee of the city News Publishing Center, and now she completely devoted herself to the care of children and volunteer activities.
Parents try to give children a versatile education and upbringing, on their own example they accustom them to work and a healthy lifestyle. Also, the Smal family takes an active part in various competitions and social projects.
