In Divnogorsk, a man lured money from pensioners under the guise of instruments (video)

In Divnogorsk, a man will appear before the court for the theft of money from older people under the guise of selling power tools. This was told in the regional police.

In May, the on-duty unit received a message from an 85-year-old local resident. An elderly man told law enforcement officers about a crime committed against him. It turned out that an attacker approached the victim on the street and offered to purchase a power tool for 50 thousand rubles. Having agreed to the deal, the pensioner handed the stranger a wallet with savings so that he himself counted the desired amount. However, instead of 50 thousand rubles, the accused took 190.

A few days later, another resident of Divnogorsk turned to the police. A 79-year-old man wrote a statement that 75 thousand rubles had disappeared from his bank account. A stranger drove up to the pensioner on the street and offered to purchase a gas generator and a screwdriver for 30 thousand. An elderly man agreed and handed the driver his phone, as he himself did not know how to use the bank’s mobile application. The suspect, instead of 30 thousand rubles, transferred all the money available to his account.

“During the work, the police detained the suspect born in 1993. As it turned out, he came to Divnogorsk from the Volgograd region. Having a criminal record for property crimes, the man decided to earn money to his familiar way, ”the law enforcement agencies said.

In relation to the attacker, criminal cases of fraud and theft from a bank account were instituted. Now he is in custody and is waiting for a trial. During the investigation, all the damage caused was completely compensated.
