Cristi Dulca (53 years old), champion with Rapid in 1999, spoke on GSP Live Special after the match on Sunday evening at the “Ion Oblemenco” stadium, where the Giulești side lost, score 0-1, to the University of Craiova. The result brings the team from Bănie back to first place, equal on points with U Cluj.
The former defender of Rapid analyzed the game of Costel Gâlcă's team and indicated some aspects that could have made a difference in the economy of the game.
VIDEO. Cristi Dulca, after Craiova – Rapid 1-0: “I expected Dobre to be introduced at half-time. Moruțan lost too many balls”
The last time the women's national team coach, Dulca spoke about the weak points in the Giulești team's game, but also about the tactical decisions that, in his opinion, could change the fate of the match.
“Borza does not have very, very good marking qualities. He wasn't supposed to be the one marking Assad. Neither jumped with him, nor was he aggressive. I can note the changes made by Rapid, which brought a plus to the team. Dobre had a great opportunity and they could have equalized, but in the end Craiova entered with a different attitude.
I think that Dobre, if he was introduced at half-time, would produce something. That's what I expected, to be introduced at halftime. Moruțan lost too many balls. I think he can do much more and, when he is at his best, he will give much more”, said Dulca.
He quickly woke up because he conceded a goal quickly, but Craiova managed the moments after the goal well. I now think that Rapid can do more, it seems to me that they offered too little to have any claim to winning the match. They almost completely controlled the second half, and Craiova was content to defend compactly.
