The governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory demanded that order be put in place in the work of transport cards

11 December 19:56

Residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory addressed Governor Mikhail Kotyukov on a live broadcast with problems in the operation of the new fare payment system for public transport. The head of the region said that all failures should not be resolved at the expense of passengers, and instructed the Ministry of Transport to take control of the situation.

The direct line heard emotional appeals from residents of Zelenogorsk and Krasnoyarsk. Passengers complained that since December 1, after the launch of the new system, social transport cards have ceased to be read on some buses, and conductors are demanding payment in cash or by bank card. There have also been complaints about fees being charged when replenishing social cards.

The governor acknowledged the criticism as fair, noting that the new information system at the start has “childhood diseases,” but emphasized that passengers should not suffer because of this.

“All failures, all mistakes should not be at the expense of the passenger. People should not get hurt here under any circumstances. These may be issues either from our operator or from transport companies, which we will continue to resolve together, but this should not be transferred to the passenger who believed in this offer and switched to this payment system,” said Mikhail Kotyukov.

To solve problems, the governor instructed to organize a hotline for the regional Ministry of Transport, which will quickly respond to complaints and rebuild the system together with the operator. He set the task for December to debug all processes as much as possible – from replenishing cards to their use in transport.

You can complain about the work of transport by calling: 8-800-200-55-75.

Separately, the head of the region focused on a complaint from Kansk, where most private buses only accept cash. He fully supported the residents, noting that the issue of non-cash payment is a matter of transparency in the work of the carrier.

Mikhail Kotyukov set the task for 2026 to find a solution to this problem, obliging municipalities to include a requirement for non-cash payment in contracts with carriers. He also said that in Krasnoyarsk the development of a new, optimal public transport scheme has already begun, which will take into account the construction of a metro tram. A cashless fare payment system will become a mandatory requirement.
