The Minister of Economy, Radu Miruță, revealed that there are two companies that make the selection of directors in state companies. He spoke about a scheme he calls the “evil genius”.

Private companies, receive several tens of thousands of euros, collect the CVs of those interested and say who is good. The damn selection, that it removes the exact piece from the political puzzle from the job. It is worrying the mechanism that aims to install these people in such functions. It is the genius of evil for what has happened in the Romanian economy so far. (…) We have found situations in which managers are placed who have a company with an identical activity object with that of the company where directors have become, after which they direct in the disinterest of the Romanian state, the money in the account of the company they created”, Said the minister Radu Miruță, at Antena 3 CNN.
Within the same shows, the Minister of Economy also said that some of those who run certain state companies accumulate the salary of director, worth 50,000 lei, with the allowance from CA – 15,500 lei and with that of special administrator, which is between 17,000 and 20,000 lei.
The minister also stated what the salaries and allowances of the directors from the state companies are.
-the Salar of the Director of Copper Min SA: 49,260 lei -amended the allowance in February 2025;
-the manager of the director from the Dragomiresti Special Products Plant: 47,640 lei -amended the allowance in June 2025;
-Salarul of the director from SN of mineral waters SA: 41,509 lei -modified the allowance at the end of April 2025;
-the manager of the director from CN Lotteria Româna SA: 38,700 lei -modified the allowance in July 2024;
-the manager of the director from Conversmin SA: 18,501 lei -modified the value in May 2025;
Last days, the Minister of Economy, Radu Miruţă, announced that he discovered that the ministry he runs owns in Bucharest a building with 54 offices in which several companies operate.
An office building with 54 functional spaces, located in the patrimony of the Ministry of Economy, was illegally rented for 18 years, without the state collecting any leu.
“You may have heard of stolen with the bag, trailer or trunk … But with the whole building? That's sure. I was told not to break the buba, to leave them as others have left them. I send only one message: excluded! Collect no leu rent, even if they are rented and underway. The Minister of Economy, Radu Miruţă transmitted.
