CNSAS did not declare it a collaborator of the Security, as the identified informative notes did not aim to restrain the fundamental rights and did not denounce activities against the communist regime.
What are the informative notes signed by “Aurora”
According to the document issued by CNSAS on June 19, 2024, the researchers discovered two informative notes, drafted in 1984 and 1985, referring to:
– an order of 45,000 costumes from the German company Kruse for the company “Red Star” from Sibiu;
– the behavior of the technical director of the company “Freedom”described as actively involved in the company's external relations.
In one of the notes it is mentioned that “The informant” Aurora “reported me verbally about the so -called A.ș., technical director at the” Freedom “company, that he participated in a protocol action with representatives of Wollmark and Giole and that he is convinced the interests of the company.”
Why is it not considered a security collaborator
According to GEO 24/2008, the quality of collaborator of the Security is attributed only to the persons who provided information that denounced contrary to the communist regime or aimed at restricting the fundamental human rights and freedoms.
CNSAS said that there is no collaboration commitment signed by Astrid Fodor and that her personal file was not kept in the SRI archive. Also, the documents analyzed do not indicate that they have targeted fundamental rights or freedoms.
Member of the German Democratic Forum in Romania (FDGR), Astrid Fodor entered the local administration in 2008 as a deputy mayor. In December 2014, he took over the position of interim mayor after the election of Klaus Iohannis as president. Later, he won the local elections of 2016, 2020 and 2024.
