The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued an orange code warning for the Capital, valid from Friday, July 4, from 10:00, until Saturday, July 5, at the same time. The warning concerns a new wave of heat, with the heat and thermal discomfort.

According to the forecast issued by ANM, Thursday is announced warmly, with growing thermal discomfort. The sky will be clear, and the wind will be weak to moderate. The maximum of the day will reach values ​​between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius, higher than those recorded on Wednesday.

Orange code starting on Friday morning

Starting on Friday, from 10:00, Bucharest will be under the orange code. The temperatures will become extreme, and the thermal discomfort will be strongly felt by the population.

It will be heat wave, heat and accentuated thermal discomfort, with temperature-humidity index (ITU) that will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units”, It is shown in the meteorological warning transmitted by the ANM.

The maximum forecast temperature for this interval will be about 38 degrees, while the minimum of the night will not go below 18 … 21 degrees Celsius. The sky will remain more serene, and the wind will be weak and moderate. Towards the end of the night, the bursts could reach speeds of 30–35 km/h.

Meteorologists recommend the population to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, properly hydrate and take protective measures against high temperatures.
