It is the smallest and, almost certainly, the best known boulevard in Bucharest. With only a few hundred meters long, Magheru is a symbol of the city. The rest of the road between the university and the Roman Square is Bălcescu, although everyone tells the name of the general.

During the interwar period, the 1 km section between the Roman Square and the University Square (Brătianu) had three names: Brătianu, Magheru and Take Ionescu

Now, how much is “Magheru” and how much is “Bălcescu” on the two boulevards that, together, have only 1 kilometer on foot and 3 minutes by subway?
