Suffocating weather in most of the country: Thermal maximums will reach 40 degrees

Several regions in the country are Thursday under the orange code and a yellow code for heat, valid until Friday morning. The maximum temperatures will generally fall between 35 and 39 degrees, but will reach 40 degrees at times.

Until Friday, at 10 o'clock, in Banat, Oltenia and the southern half of Muntenia, the temperatures will be hot. The thermometers will pass 38 and will reach even 40 degrees Celsius, and the night minimums will be maintained between 20 and 24 degrees, thus specifying a tropical night, with thermal discomfort even after dark, according to the orange code warning issued by ANM.

Also until Friday morning, a yellow code of heat, valid for Crișana, southwest and southern Transylvania, northern and northeast of Muntenia, Dobrogea and southern Moldova is also in force.

The heat wave will continue, in these areas, with maximum temperatures between 35 and 37 degrees and minimums between 17 and 20 degrees. The temperature-humidity index (ITU) will easily exceed the critical threshold of 80 units.

The weather in the capital

In Bucharest, the weather will continue to be heat, high thermal discomfort, and the temperature-humane (ITU) index will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units, according to the observer.

The capital will have a variable sky, more clear in the morning and at night. The wind will be weak and moderate.

The thermal maximums will be around 38 degrees, and the minimum ones, between 18 and 21 degrees, characterizing a tropical night in the city center.

The weather on the coast

On the coast, the weather will be warm. The thermal discomfort will be accentuated, and the temperature-humidity index (ITU) will reach the critical threshold of 80 units.

The maximums will be between 30 and 33 degrees, and the minimum ones between 20 and 23 degrees. The sky will be variable, more clear. The wind will blow weakly and moderately, with slight intensification day. The temperature of the sea will have values ​​of 20 … 22 degrees.

And in the mountain the weather will be particularly warm, with variable sky. In the afternoon, on the restricted areas, there will be short-term rains and electric shocks. The wind will be weak and moderate, with mild intensifications throughout the day.
