Iran president Masoud Pezeshkian says the United States “must receive an answer” to attacks on nuclear sites in the Islamic Republic. Pezeshkian transmitted this during a telephone conversation on Sunday with French President Emmanuel Macron.
“Americans must receive a response to their aggression,” Iranian president told the French counterpart, according to the official IRNA press agency, taken over by Al Jazeera.
And Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reacted on Sunday after American attacks, stating that his country has the legitimate right to answer and warned that “Iran reserves all his options to defend his sovereignty, interests and people.”

The United States launched on Saturday night an operation entitled “The midnight hammer” (Midnight Hammer), in which they attacked the Iranian Uranium enrichment installations, Natanz and Isfahan. 14 GBU-57 anti-buses were used in the attack, dozens of Tomahawk cruise missiles and over 125 military aircraft, including seven invisible B-2 bombers, the latter launching anti-tunnel bombs.

But it is too early to conclude if the US bombing has managed to neutralize Iran's nuclear program, although US President Donald Trump claims that the main Iranian nuclear installations have been “completely destroyed,” AFP notes.
Also, it is not yet clear whether Iran has managed to withdraw from the enriched uranium nuclear installations to be sheltered elsewhere. Satellite images show at least six large craters produced by penetrating bombs on the Fortow plant site.
