DIICOT prosecutors and police officers from DCCO discovered in a warehouse in Brasov county one of the largest synthetic drug laboratories in Romania.
The drug production in this laboratory had not yet started, with large quantities of chemicals, in the category of precursors, which would be used in the process of obtaining methamphetamine and MDMA were found in the warehouse.
Two people, 36 and 55, were detained in this case and will be taken to the Bucharest Court with a proposal for a preventive arrest for 30 days.
- “It turned out of the evidence that, starting with April 2025, the researched persons would have arranged in a location (warehouse), from Brasov county, a high-risk drug production laboratory.
- They would also have purchased large quantities of chemicals, from the category of precursors, which would have been used in the process of obtaining methamphetamine and MDMA.
- Following the home searches carried out, 50 kilograms of calcium hydrochloride, 75 kilograms of caustic soda were discovered and raised, 32 cans of 25 liters of phosphoric acid, large containers, from glass, a current generator, a mechanical agitator reactor, as well as other steel containers, 20 liters of isopropyl alcohol, 12 bags containing PMK ethyl glycidate, metal barrels with a capacity of 260 liters each containing liquid, 16 bags in which there were cardboard boxes containing plastic bags with pink, purple, white and white powder, ”announces Romanian police.
In the same circumstance, objects were discovered carrying traces of substance, documents, as well as other means of proof.
“In relation to the substances and equipment discovered in the searched locations, it turns out that the start of high -risk drugs would have begun, so the intervention took place before starting the production process,” the police say.
