A drone of the Israeli air forces hit and destroyed two F-14 Iranian fighter aircraft at an attack on Tehran, announced the spokesman of the Israeli army (IDF), Brigadie General Effie Defrin, in a press conference, according to The Times of Israel and CNN.

The F-14 Tomcat aircraft, manufactured in the US, were provided to Iran before the 1979 Islamic Revolution and are believed to be the last ones that are still in operation.

IDF has published images of the attack made.

IDF also broadcast images of an attack on Iranian soldiers on Monday, who were preparing to launch drones on Israel. Another video shows an attack on the containers in which drones were stored.

The Israeli army also published images of the attack on the building of the public Iranian television station in Tehran, which took place earlier.

At the same Press Conference on Monday, Defrin also tried to reassure the Israeli hostages who are still held in the Gaza strip: “If you hear me, I have not forgotten you.”
