In the middle of May, a team of the Sports Gazette visited the site of the arena that Politehnica Timișoara, a team that missed the promotion in Liga 2, could play next year. And the works advances vertiginously, the stadium being completed 50%, according to the latest estimates on Bega.

The new arena in Timișoara takes shape, and the builder says it is in the graph with the completion of the support grades from the two lawns, East and West, and from both stands, south and north.
What has been worked on in the last few weeks: the completion of the household and pluvial sewerage works, the completion of the mounting of the Grade at the West Pelza and East and the North Tribune, the completion of the fire network and the mounting of the hydrants, the installation of the prefabricated beams for the South Tribune and the West Lawn.
The next step? Installation of the roof, a stage that could be checked by the end of the current year.

For its unique form, the arena had to bear the name “Lego”, being subsequently renamed in “Timișoara Heroes”.
23 million euros cost “Heroes of Timisoara”
The new arena in Banat costs 23 million euros and will be ready in 2026. Timișoara's new stadium will occupy an area of over 9,000 square meters and will have 10,101 places for spectators. It will be of category 4, according to UEFA and IFAB requirements, and will be able to host international competitions.
What will happen on “Dan Păltinișanu”?

Most have already been removed from the arena from the company that deals with demolition, the last pile of purple plastic being in the middle of the field.
In the most optimistic scenario, the new 32,000 -seater arena would be ready in early 2028.
The County Council reaffirmed its support for Poli Timișoara, after the team missed the promotion: “We do not leave the team!”
Poli Timișoara will remain for a year in Liga 3, the Banat people losing clearly, 1-4 general, the “dam” with CSM Olimpia Satu Mare. However, Alfred Simonis, the president of CJ Timiș, announced that “The Poli project ” goes on.
