18 years after the first training, Daciana Hosu returned to her hometown and signed with her rival team: “I can't wait”

Daciana Hosu (27 years old) is the second goalkeeper of CSM Bucharest who will play for Gloria Bistrița from the 2025-2026 season. After Evelina Erikssonher co-worker made the decision to return to her hometown.
GSP.ro announced in November that Gloria Bistrița reached an agreement with both goalkeepers of CSM Bucharest. After on Friday, December 19, the Transylvanian players formalized the transfer of the Swedish handball player, today, December 22, they also announced the return home of Daciana Hosu.

According to Gloria Bistrita's Facebook page, the announcement came exactly 18 years after Daciana's first handball training, held at LPS Bistrita. After 7 years spent in her hometown, the goalkeeper decided to go to Corona Brașov and continue her junior studies there.
In 2015, she debuted for the yellow-blue senior team, after which, in 2020, she transferred to SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea. From 2024, Hosu evolves for CSM Bucharest, the champion of Romania.
After two seasons spent in the Capital, the 27-year-old handball player will return to Bistrita, a team extremely active on the transfer market.
“I am happy to announce that next season I will wear Gloria Bistrita's shirt. It's a homecoming, to the city where I was born and where my first dreams began. I return with desire to work, ambition and responsibility towards this club and city. I can't wait to feel the energy of the supporters in Bistrita, who make the atmosphere special at every match”, said Daciana Hosu, who signed a contract valid until 2028.
In addition to the goalkeeper of the Romanian national team and Eriksson, Gloria also made the following transfers: Veronika Mala (Storhamar HE), Helena Paula Simao (CSM Târgu Jiu) and Johanna Reichert (Thuringer HC).
Also, the Bistrites extended the contracts of the following players: Lorena Ostase, Larisa Nusser, Paula Arcos, Sonia Seraficeanu, Danila So Delgado, Corina Lupei, Martina Stan, Daria Cîtu, Kaba Gassama, Yaroslava Burlachenko and Jennifer Gutierrez.
In the first match after the Women's Handball World Championship, Gloria Bistrita achieved a clear victory over Corona Brașov, score 37-29.
