Farul drew on Csikszereda's field, score 1-1in a match from the second stage of the Superleague play-out. Ciucani managed to equalize in the last phase, and after the match, the captain of Constanta, Ionuț Larie, and Iustin Doicaru, the player fouled at the phase in which the guests asked for the goal to be canceled, talked about the team's progress.
Iustin Doicaru, introduced by Zicu on the field in the 85th minute, scored the “sailors” goal with the first touch of the ball. The home team's goal came in the 90th+4th minute, through a superb execution by Szalay, introduced on the field in extra time.
Ionuț Larie, after Csikszereda – Farul 1-1: “We proved that we are a good team”
The Lighthouse captain commented on the match and the point scored:
“A earned point, against an opponent at home. We are happy to go away with a point and if we take the equalizer in the closing stages it is unpleasant, but we met a good team today and the boys showed character, value and we worked for 90 minutes as we have to.
We drove for 5 minutes, we're not necessarily happy, but I'm happy that the guys worked and did what they had to. That's it, we go with one point and I hope we get points with Slobozia, so that we can have a peaceful end to the season”, said Larie, at Prima Sport.
About the foul in which the Constantinians requested the intervention of the referee, which led to the home team's equalizing goal, Larie said: “Doicaru said he was hit and now his ankle is swollen. If those in the VAR room didn't give anything, it means it wasn't. I don't know, I didn't see.
I think we showed that we are a good team in this play-out. We beat Petrol, an uncomfortable team, and I think we have to take the good game. We mostly dominated, leaving the last 5 minutes when we had to defend the result”.
Iustin Doicaru: “My ankle is swollen”
“I went with confidence, focused really well and managed to score. My ankle swelled up because when he passed he came with his cleats right on my ankle and it swelled up. The referee didn't say anything, he was telling me to get up. Of course it's frustrating, but what can you do if the decision was made that there was nothing? It was nothing. It spoils my evening, of course, because I couldn't get the win, but that's what it is.
It was a pretty good match, we controlled the match and we deserved to win today,” said Doicaru.
