Two medical professionals were sent to court for guilty murder, after six and a half years, being accused of not properly monitored a one -year -old and ten -month -old child, who died from an internal bleeding after an operation.

The pediatrician who was on guard and a nurse were sent to court, under the charge of murder, because he would not have monitored the child after the operation, although he had internal bleeding. Prosecutor Marius Iacob concluded that Stefan, the boy of only one year and ten months, ended because he was not supervised by the medical staff of the Private Medical Center, according to ProTV.
In October 2018, his parents paid 11,000 lei for a surgery to lower a testicle. After the operation, his condition worsened because of a bleeding and finally died.
The General Prosecutor's Office believes that he would be responsible for this tragedy would be the pediatrician who was on guard. “The omissions of the defendant regarding the monitoring of the general condition of the minor patient and his vital functions led to the unfavorable evolutionary status and, finally, to the patient's death, as a result of a hemorrhagic shock in the evolution of an internal bleeding.”he transmitted.
According to the sources in the investigation, the two defendants rejected the accusations, reasoning that the boy had been seen by the doctors who operated on him.
For her part, the boy's mother refuses to accept that only the doctor and the guard assist would be the only one responsible for the tragedy.
“The two ladies sent to court do not know who they are, I have probably interacted with them, but I think the responsibility is elsewhere. The medical fault followed by the child's death starts from the way the surgery itself was performed. The second part is the monitoring that was done in the private hospital.”he said.
On the other hand, the case prosecutor ranked the investigations aimed at the operating team, on the grounds that the intervention was done correctly, and the bleeding would not have been related to it.
The file in which the parents of the child were constituted civil parties and ask not only to the doctor and the assistant, but also to the hospital, damages of over 10 million euros, will be tried in the first instance by the District Court 1.
