“I realized that I have not lived this life.” Ukrainian scouts on prostheses conquered Everest

Fighters of the unit Ivan Tarn (“Artan”) and Alexander Dashko (“Kraken”) are the first Ukrainians on prostheses that took this height. The group was accompanied by professional climbers and journalist Roman Bebekh, who shot the film “Everest: without restrictions”.

At a pre-commercial show, veterans said that daily transitions lasted 10-11 hours.

“We showed that after injuries, after amputations, life continues – and it can be saturated, interesting and even adventure,” Tarn says.

Dashko called on veterans with prosthetics not to listen to skeptics and, having survived in the war, use the second chance “1000%.”

“When I was lying in that forest after a wound, I realized that I had not lived this life yet. And now – they gave me a second chance, and I must use it,” he said.

The expedition to Everest is part of the Limitless project (“without restrictions”), which is aimed at helping veterans to restore physical and mental health, as well as attracting international attention to Russian aggression in Ukraine.

The film about the conquest of Everest by Ukrainian fighters will soon be published on the Bebeh YouTube channel “Bombardir”. There are already posted materials shot during the campaign.
