Trump said that during the meeting the parties agreed to increase the production of Exquisite Class (“highest class”) weapons fourfold in order to achieve the maximum possible production volumes as quickly as possible. According to him, the expansion process began about three months ago, and some of the factories are already operating or are now at the final stage of startup.
Trump also noted that the United States has virtually unlimited supplies of mid- and upper-middle grade ammunition that are used in military operations.
“We have a virtually unlimited supply of mid- and upper-middle grade ammunition, which we use, for example, in Iran, and recently used in Venezuela,” the head of the White House wrote.
At the same time, despite the existing reserves, the government continues to increase orders for these categories of weapons.
The meeting was attended by the CEOs of the largest American defense companies, in particular BAE Systems, Boeing, Honeywell Aerospace, L3 Harris Missile Solutions, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.
Trump said the talks ended with an agreement to meet again in about two months to assess progress in expanding production.
