A resident of the Shushensky district will be forced to reimburse the costs of extinguishing the forest fire arranged by him

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the culprit of the forest fire will be fined and compensate for its extinguishing costs of 33.5 thousand rubles, the prosecutor's office said.

The department said that in March at the state farm “50 years of the Komsomol” of the Shushensky district forestry 1.3 km from the village of Krasny Khutor, a forest fire occurred. He was extinguished in an area of ​​almost 2 hectares due to timely response to the situation. 33.5 thousand rubles were spent on extinguishing.

“It was later established that the fire occurred due to careless handling of fire by a resident of one of the settlements of the district. He burned dry grass on the land plot belonging to him, and the wind prompted fire far beyond its limits, ”the press service said.

The man drew up a protocol on violation of fire safety rules, entailing the occurrence of a forest fire (part 4 of article 8.32 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation). He faces a fine of 50 to 60 thousand rubles. In addition to this, the prosecutor's office through the court wants to recover from him the cost of extinguishing.
