The Minister of Economy, on the way to Salina Praid: “Every day of delay means uncertainty and losses”

The Minister of Economy, Bogdan Ivan, announces that he has ordered the technical studies and the preparation of the Government Decision to allocate the necessary funds in order to intervene at Salina Praid. The official is on the way to the objective.

“We intervene urgently with support and solutions for the community in Praid and Salina Praid, the objective that goes through a critical moment! I am in direct and permanent contact with Dan Dobrea, the director of Salrom. Today I summoned him for the third time for the emergency intervention at Salina Praid”announced on Facebook, the Minister of Economy.
According to the minister, the decision of the National Emergency Committee establishes that the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of the Environment will evaluate the situation and propose the intervention measures.
“We have urgently ordered the technical studies and the preparation of the Government Decision to allocate the necessary funds, from the budget reserve fund. Safety cannot wait. Salina Praid is not only an economic or tourist objective – it is part of the daily life of the local community. From the jobs to the attractions for thousands of visitors, every year, every day, every day. With responsibility, transparency and emergency, for this exceptional situation to be remedied, safely, for all ”said the official.
Salina Praid was severely affected by a flood produced in both the mining and tourist area, following the transfer of an underground dam.
“Today, 29.05.2025, around 10.52, the pier built underground by Salrom employees, with special efforts, gave up, at the pressure of the water that entered under this dam”, Salrom said in an official statement.
“At Salina Praid a real tragedy happened and my hope is that we will find technical solutions to save it. There things are quite complicated, but they remain optimistic. We will identify not only financial resources, but especially technical solutions to save what can be saved there”, Said the Minister of the Environment, Mircea Fechet, at Digi24.
