Nicușor Dan takes into account that Dacian Cioloș will be a presidential counselor: “If he wants it”

The president of Nicuşor Dan said on Monday night that in his team at the Cotroceni Palace there will be more people from outside the current political class, who will work in particular on the Economic Strategy. On the external area, Dan also advanced the variant that Dacian Cioloș to be a counselor, given the experience of the former prime minister in Romania with France.

“I spoke in this campaign with entrepreneurs who told me that they come volunteer to work with the president to correct some things that do not work, to help an economic strategy. You will see many people who will work with me and who are outside the current political class,” Nicuşor Dan told Anten.ro.

Asked if he can offer a name, Nicuşor Dan said: “At this moment, I don't have their acceptance, but you will see them.”

Regarding the option for Dacian Cioloş to be appointed presidential counselor, Nicuşor Dan stated that he did not exclude such a possibility, specifying that Dacian Cioloş worked with interim president Ilie Bolojan especially on the relationship with France.

“I have a good relationship with Dacian Cioloş, he is a competent person, if he wants it …”, added Nicuşor Dan.

In a previous interview, on Monday afternoon, on B1 TV, the president chosen said he could make the first external visit to Brussels. “Chisinau, Brussels or Washington. Probably Brussels,” he said.

Also, Dan had indicated Valentin Naumescu, Corneliu Bjola, Iulian Fota as possible advisers in the field of foreign policy.

“I worked with some people who helped me on the vision on foreign politics. To the extent that they will want to get involved, with great pleasure. (…) Mr. Naumescu, Mr. Fota,” explained the president elected.
