Elon Musk, Jeffrey Epstein and other corpses in the wardrobe of Donald Trump. Ambiguities multiply. The US president fell into his own trap

The biography of Jeffrey Epstein is full of episodes related to sexual violence, abuse of minors and suspicions of organizing a criminal network, and its extensive connections in the world of show business and politics only intensify suspicions.
Particular anxiety is that Epstein could leave compromising materials aggravating influential people. This suspicion became the cause of conspiracy theory that his death was not accidental. Her supporters believe that they deliberately did not want to disclose information that could destroy the reputation of important politicians and public figures belonging to the wide circle of Epstein's friends.
One of the most common hypotheses says that Epstein led the “list of customers”, to which he entered people he hosted on his private island. This list was to include the names of famous politicians, businessmen and stars. The popularity of this hypothesis fuels the lack of public trust in the course and results of the investigation into the death of Epstein and the desire for sensation.
It is known that among Epstein's friends were US presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump. In the case of Clinton, the attention of the public is fueled by eccentric details: for example, a portrait of Clinton in a blue dress was found in one of Epstein's residences. For Donald Trump, the fact of knowledge with Epstein also became a factor of image risk, especially in the context of the struggle for moral leadership and the support of a conservative electorate.

During the election campaign in 2024, Donald Trump repeatedly declared his intention to publish the so -called act of Epstein. Most likely, it was about declassified information related to the investigation, as well as documents containing compromising information. Such promises are part of Trump's wider narrative about “revealing secrets”, he made similar promises in relation to the murder of John Kennedy, as well as in the context of secret materials regarding UFOs.
Strange circumstances related to declassifying materials regarding the Epstein case began to appear at the stage of creating a new administration. Donald Trump appointed PAM Bondi as prosecutor general, who in the first public statements allowed the possibility of publishing documents.
Soon, however, internal contradictions appeared in the Department of Justice: according to media reports between the general prosecutor and its deputies, there were differences of sentences about the quantity and nature of the information disclosed. This confrontation showed the lack of a uniform position in the department and argued additional questions about the readiness of the administration to fulfill the promises made during the election campaign, as well as about the content of the files.
Ambiguities multiply
However, every attempt to declassify materials related to the criminal case Jeffrey Epstein was accompanied by a new scandal and the multiplication of ambiguities. Instead of the long -awaited “customer list”, Trump's administration focused on the attempt to convince Epstein's death not violent. In particular, Pam Bondi initiated the publication of a ten -hour recording from a camera monitoring camera in which Epstein stayed.
According to the Department of Justice, the recording was to show that none of the bystanders entered Epstein's cell. However, shortly after the publication, it turned out that the recording lacks one minute, probably just the moment of the prisoner's death. Later, Bondi explained this misunderstanding with a monitoring system failure. Nevertheless, such an explanation only intensified suspicions and added olive oil to the fire of conspiracy theories, fueled in the media space.

The real explosion was caused by Elon Musk, who at the peak of the conflict with the US President published a post in which he stated that the materials regarding the Epstein case are not published because they contain compromising information about Donald Trump himself. Although Musk later deleted this entry, a new wave of social dissatisfaction and demands of the transparency of the Epstein case could not be stopped. In response to the growing pressure of public opinion and the media, Trump issued a statement in which he stated that no “Epstein list”, i.e. the list of his clients, basically exists.
This episode confirmed the great impact of Elon Musk on the United States Political Agenda.
The Democratic Party, despite the lack of a majority in Congress, immediately reacted, intensifying the efforts to force administration to be greater transparency. Democrats began a political offensive: They began to be submitted for consideration in the Congress amendments and resolutions aimed at the statutory commitment of the Prosecutor General to publish secret materials regarding the Epstein case.
This initiative met with the support of the public. According to surveys, most Americans are in favor of declassifying all documents related to the case. What's more, even among supporters of the Republican party, the opinion predominates that the government is hiding important details related to the Epstein case.
Another waves of suspicion
The Trump administration still attempts to divert public attention from the Epstein file. However, such actions, instead of reducing tension, only fuel the interest and activity of supporters of conspiracy theories and strengthen political polarization. What's more, each subsequent event related to this case raises new questions, causing further waves of suspicion.
In mid -July, Bondi was initiated by the prosecutor of the Federal Southern District of New York Maurene Comey. In addition to the fact that Comey supervised the Epstein case, she also conducted a loud investigation into rapper P. Diddy. Interest in public opinion in this case also increased for another reason: Maurene Comey. She is the daughter of James Comey, former FBI director and prosecutor general, dismissed by Trump during his first term.
The convergence of names and positions, as well as the fact that Trump has recently been actively criticizing Comey in public space recently, have become an additional reason for discussion in the media and social networks, strengthening the belief about the political motives of these events.
In mid -July, the prosecutor general asked the Federal Court to disclose the transcript of the large jury meeting in the Epstein case. Consideration of the application will last for some time, and experts suppose that Even if the materials are published, they will most likely be highly censored and will not satisfy the public interest.
In combination with other factors A clear negative impact on support for Donald Trump. According to recent polls, the level of support for the president reached the lowest level during both presidential terms. The tightening of internal conflict, an increase in distrust, especially among their own supporters, and a sense of unfulfilled promises contribute to a decrease in popularity, especially in the context of the growing sensitivity of society to the issues of transparency of power and government responsibility.
