PSD's threats to leave the coalition, mocked by UDMR: “When we say we are leaving, the next day we left”

Deputy Prime Minister Tanczos Barna mocked the social democrats' threats to leave the ruling coalition, reminding Digi24 that the UDMR also left the government, but that he did not say he was leaving the Government seven months before.

“We have also left coalitions before. There were situations when we left, there were situations when we were pushed down the stairs. When we say we are leaving, the next day we left. Period. So we do not say seven months in advance that we might do it, that we are still thinking, that we are still analyzing,” said Deputy Prime Minister Tanczos Barna, quoted by News.ro.

He mentioned that UDMR is looking for compromise and dialogue, as it did during the budget debate.

The Deputy Prime Minister also mentioned the risks that a political crisis in Romania entails, in the current international context.

“The current international situation should give all our partners something to think about. It's the last thing Romania needs at the moment, a political dispute and an internal political crisis. We can wait a few more months for this international madness, the war, for things to calm down on the international level and then for everyone to do their own analysis,” added Tanczos Barna.
