Krasnoyarsk transferred 3.5 kg of old coins to create a national monument to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory in Moscow. The sculpture will be installed on Poklonnaya Gora. This was told in the regional “Popular Front”.
“Since the 1980s, the son copied to the motorcycle. He put the money in the box, which was made by his great-grandfather back in 1935. Then the children grew up, parted. The box was stored at the daughter in Krasnoyarsk – along with the coins they stole it, but the police found and returned it, ”says Anatoly Medyushko, a resident of the city.
Krasnoyarsk decided that he wanted to transfer coins to the monument. For him, this is important because in his family almost all men participated in the Great Patriotic War.
“Both grandfathers fought, father and two of his brothers. Dad was called up in 1943, was on the Eastern Front. He finished the courses of paramedics. Then he was demobilized. He returned home to the village of Shadrino, Idrinsky district. He opened a district hospital there, where he was in charge of until the 70th year, ”Anatoly Medyushko shares.
The sculpture “Living memory of grateful generations” will be issued in the form of a soldier’s letter. The initiator of the installation of the monument was the Paralympic, Belarusian public figure Alexei Talai. The first two have already been installed in Minsk and the Brest Fortress. The Russian sculpture will become the third. The collection is carried out in all regions of the country.
