Video the opposition leader in Spain, a support message for Nicușor Dan, whom he calls “the European future of Romania”

The president of the Spanish People's Party (PP), Alberto Núñez Feijóo, sent a support message for Nicușor Dan, the pro-European candidate in the second round of the presidential elections in Romania. The message was published on Friday by PNL MEP Siegfried Mureșan, in a Facebook post accompanied by a video recording.
“Romania and Spain are two European nations. We, the Romanians and the Spaniards, want to choose our representatives at the ballot box, to have the guarantee that we are all equal before the law, to have freedom of expression. In short, we want democracy,” said Feijóo, according to the Romanian MEP.
In the video message, the leader of the Spanish opposition urges the Romanians from the Diaspora to reject populism and support the pro-European parties.
“All Romanians living in Spain, who love your country, wish you to have a successful future. And that's why I tell you, don't trust the populism, don't trust those who have solutions for anything, without ever resolving something. You trust Europe.” Alberto Núñez said.
He states that Nicușor Dan is “undoubtedly the European future of Romania” and sends it to the Romanians in Spain: “From here, from Spain, we want the best future to this people, whom we love so much. Because we know you, because you live here, because you work with us and we form an extraordinary country.”
“So, dear friends, on May 18, voted for the future of a European Romania,” concludes the leader of the People's Party in Spain.
Alberto Núñez Feijóo is the leader of the People's Party (center-right), the main opposition party in Spain and a member of the same European political family of which PNL also belongs.
