Polska Grupa Energetyczna contracted a supplementary power market for the delivery period from July 1 to December 31, 2025, in total, not less than 2,000. 111 MW of power duties for units belonging to the group – the company said in a statement.
The supplementary auction for the second half of the year of delivery 2025 was completed in the 1st round. The auction schedule shows that in the first round the starting price was PLN 431/kW/year, and the minimum price of PLN 395.10/kW/year.
Calculated on 2111 MW This gives from 834 to PLN 910 million additional money. These are funds that recipients will pay for guaranteeing energy supply in the so -called power fee. This is financed by supplementing unstable windmills and photovoltaics by stable carbon and gas power plants.
In this way, for large Belchatów and Turów brown coal power plants, which after a great reduction of PGE valuation determined that they were worth a total of PLN 3.6 billion, it was possible to collect less than a billion additional income.
Especially in autumn it is important, because there are windless and non -vanity seasons, the so -called Dark Flauta. We watched it, for example, in November 2024, and this caused extremely high electricity prices in Europe, including in Poland.
Information on the results of the auction, including prices, was developed by PAP on the basis of a PSE message informing about the end of the power market auction and does not constitute the final results of the auction.
PSE previously reported that the total size of power duties rounded to one thousand megawatt hours was 5,000. MW. The final results of the power auction are announced by the President of the URE in the Public Information Bulletin on his website, on the first business day following the 21st day from the date of the end of the power auction. Until then, all contracts for the sale of power obligations are conditional.
