Calin Georgescu stated, on Wednesday night, that he will help his “protected” “younger in everything he does”, in an obvious reference to the gold leader George Simion, qualified in the presidential final. Only in terms of Simion's declared intention to dismiss half a million budget, if the gold leader becomes president, the former independent candidate for last year's elections had a sharp position: “It is impossible and there is no situation in this kind.”
“I see in my younger protected the good things. We do not have to see the bad things, as in fact. Whether there are various accusations, on various levels that are brought, I am interested in this moment that we have to opt between faith and unbelief,” said Călin Georgescu, in the show “Marius Tucă Show” from Gândul.ro.
Asked if he will be engaged with George Simion to change the “system”, Georgescu replied: “Categively, yes”.
Asked by Marius Tucă if he seems to him that the term “protected” is pejorative, Georgescu has agreed to call “partner” to Simion.
“Obviously, you have no other way. (…) There are many things to be corrected to guide, if we do them for the good of the people, we all have to learn – and I, and myself. It is important to follow the same common ideal,” explained the candidate from last year's elections, canceled in December by the Constitutional Court.

And then he referred to the statement of George Simion, who said he would kick 500,000 people from the state apparatus if the President of Romania arrives.
“There are things that … you know … the age, the momentum of youth, it is natural, maybe it was a style figure,” said Georgescu, about Simion's statement of cutting 500,000 positions in the state.
“This is impossible and there is no such situation to be taken into account because we are obviously discussing piles and mistresses and other issues, but they are very well trained people who are not allowed to raise their heads due to piles and mistresses,” continued Călin Georgescu, quoted by News.ro.
“We talk about this,” the former independent candidate pointed out.
On May 6, the leader of Gold has announced that he wants to reduce with 500,000 the number of budgets in the state institutions, that is, the two -thirds cutting of the public administration apparatus, if he wins the elections. “It is a radical plan,” he said in an interview with Digi24, although he stressed that this will not happen “the next day”, but within five years.
“We are talking about the fact that in the early 2000s there were 800,000 employees in the state sector and now there are 1,300,000. We should reach back to 800,000 because in these 25 years we benefit from technology, digitization and we can take advantage of technical progress. But I want to not alarm someone by saying that the next day will happen for five years. Local and central institutions.
The golden candidate for the supreme function also claimed that from the budget system “the party members should leave, because we are not talking about teachers, we do not talk about medical staff, we have a deficit to firefighters, to the police, to the military”.

Georgescu was also asked if he would accept to be a prime minister if George Simion will win the Cotroceni Palace.
“I am interested not to advance these things now, in this show. But I can confirm that I am extremely prepared to help my country in any situation and from any position. Here we talk about the good of Romania and sure to help my younger protect in everything that I do to guide things to be good.

Later, Georgescu also referred to the other qualified candidate in the presidential final, Nicușor Dan, choosing to use the term “boy”.
