The relatives of the 88-year-old grandfather wounded in the leg by a Ukrainian shell in this video are being sought by the authorities of the Kursk region. To establish his identity and help with the funeral, he died in one of the region’s hospitals.
As Mash learned, the pensioner lived in the working-class village of Glushkovo. Volunteers from South Ossetia found him in one of the houses – they gave him water (he was dehydrated), bandaged his leg, transported him to the other side by boat across the Seim, then began to wait for the evacuation vehicle. At this time, the old man began to sing the unofficial airborne anthem “Sineva”. Then he said that he served as a sailor for three years, when he was discharged, he became an industrial sailor.
According to the volunteers, when the man was taken to the hospital, he asked to tell the military to completely defeat the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The doctors provided him with all the necessary help, but in the evening the grandfather began to feel unwell – his heart began to hurt. They couldn't save him. Now the authorities of the Kursk region want to find his closest relatives to help with organizing the funeral and provide all the necessary assistance.
