Poland will join forces with the Baltic States. The deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense reveals the details

– The East shield and the Baltic line of defense will be connected. I talked to the secretary of state that it was necessary and we will do it in the very near future. This regional cooperation will allow us not only to coordinate, cooperate and synchronize our defense plans, but also help build industrial skills – said Deputy Minister of Defense of Lithuania Tomas Godliauskas during Impact'25.
– We want to announce this today as our joint project. The Baltic defense line and the East shield will be connected and will be one big barrier. This is the most important for us – said Tomczyk.
The deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense announces a combination of two important projects. “We want to build it together”
– Poland is the only country in the world that borders with Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. That is why we want to be ready for everything – added the deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense. He emphasized that the security plan was created because the society “wants to feel safe”. He also noted that this is the largest project of this type since World War II.
– The Polish border is of course the border of the Polish state, but also the European Union and NATO. We want to build it together and we want this project to be planned for the entire region. This is the most important for us – added Tomczyk.
The deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense also referred to the issue of raising a security topic during the election campaign in Poland. – This is a very specific time, but I think that we have jointly thinking about security and we know that we have to build a strong army. We must be part of the largest alliance, which is NATO and be part of the largest economy, i.e. the European Union. I hope that similar security thinking will accompany us for the next 10, 20 and 30 years. Security is the only topic that cannot be the subject of political war – he said.
