Pekao Bank President Hints at Possible Name Change

Cezary Stypułkowski, president of Pekao Bank, stated that there are grounds to seriously consider changing the bank’s name. His comments confirm earlier reports on the matter.
Additionally, the cashless.pl service reported on Monday that the Patent Office Bulletin included information regarding trademark submissions for the names Polbank and Polbank24. These submissions were made by Stypułkowski, further indicating his interest in the potential rebranding.
Stypułkowski remarked that Polbank is a strong name that resonates with Polish identity and should be considered “as an option” moving forward.
He also emphasized that he does not intend to profit from transferring the name to the bank.
In his conversation with bankier.pl, Stypułkowski noted that Professor Barbara Mróz-Gorgoń served as a consultant on brand strength assessment methods.
